Marie Curie
Marie Curie was a Polish scientist who proposed the theory of radioactivity . After conducting several experiments to observe the rays of uranium, she recognized that the rays were constant and therefore, based on the atomic structure of the element. To describe this phenomenon, she coined the term, radioactivity, the emission of particles caused by the disintegration of the nucleus. Like Victor Frankenstein, she was killed by her own invention. Curie suffered from aplastic anemia, a disease that she developed from working with radioactive particles.
